The City of Coos Bay is in the process of upgrading the existing WWTP 1, located at 680 Ivy Street. The treatment plant needs upgrades to accommodate existing infrastructure and future development. This upgrade will include installing a new chlorine contact chamber, secondary clarifier, yard piping, electrical and telecommunications. The contractor performing the work is McClure and Sons Incorporated. It is anticipated for construction to begin mid-September and continue through the fall of 2025. With this construction there may be occasional delays and/or detours along Koos Bay Boulevard and Ivy Street. Please pardon the dust while these improvements are taking place. Working hours will be from 7AM-6PM Monday through Friday.
