ODOT release.  Motorists should expect lane closures and delays on the Isthmus Slough Bridge in Coos Bay beginning this week.  On Tuesday morning and afternoon, March 27, traffic will be limited to a single lane across the bridge. Flaggers will provide alternating one-way traffic between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Delays are expected to be brief. On Wednesday night, March 28, traffic will be limited to a single lane across the bridge from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Flaggers will provide traffic control, and vehicles may be held as long as 20 minutes. After next week, motorists should expect intermittent nighttime single-lane closures with 20-minute delays. No other daytime lane closures are currently scheduled, and no nighttime bridge closures have been scheduled. ODOT will attempt to notify the Coos Bay community in advance of any major traffic impacts. Daytime lane closures may be allowed from time to time as long as traffic moves efficiently through the work zone. If long delays occur during daylight hours, construction may be moved to night.
