Water Rescue No. Umpqua, July 3

On Thursday, June 29, 2017, at approximately 1242 pm, the 911 center received a report of a boat with rafters that had overturned in the North Umpqua River near milepost 45.5 on Highway 138E. A citizen passing through the area witnessed the event and summoned help. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and located all four of the adult rafters. One female was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg for observation. The other three subjects were uninjured.
