City of North Bend release – A water line broke and caused pavement damage Wednesday morning (July 26th) at the intersection of Newmark Ave. and Edgewood (eastern entrance near Brussels) in North Bend. Traffic was detoured around Edgewood and Tower while repairs were being completed, excepting one lane is open westbound on Newmark. Edgewood is closed at Vista (eastern side). After 4 pm Wednesday, Newmark will be one lane each direction and Edgewood will be opened. This will occur until 7 am, Thursday July 27th. Repaving of approximately 400 feet of Newmark will occur beginning at 7 am Thursday, July 27th. Newmark and the upper segment of Edgewood will again be closed until approximately 4 pm. One lane westbound on Newmark will be open, and eastbound traffic detoured around Edgewood and Tower. Motorists are requested to utilize alternate routes as only emergency traffic will have limited access through the east bound lane of Newmark roadway between 7 am and 4 pm on Thursday, July 27th.
