They used sheets of plywood to help herd a wayward Sea Lion back to water Friday night, Nov. 26, in the Taft Section of Lincoln City. An Oregon State Police wildlife trooper was requested by the Lincoln City PD after the Sea Lion was found wandering toward Hwy. 101 on SE 51st St. Along with some volunteers, the Sea Lion was guided about two-blocks to Schooner Ck., which connects to Siletz Bay and the Pacific Ocean. A little help from an incoming tide and the Sea Lion was on its way. A crowd of bystanders cheered as the newly named Sea Lion Tiffany swam out into the bay.
