The Cascade Subduction Zone off the Oregon Coast was active Friday, April 10. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, three quakes hit near the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. A 4.2-magnitude quake was recorded at 10:44 p.m., 134-miles west of Coos Bay. A4.7-magnitude quake occurred earlier at 11:59 a.m., 107-miles west to southwest of Eureka, CA near Cape Mendocino. The third quake was on land early Saturday morning. A 2.6-magnitude quake was recorded at 3:36 a.m., 47-miles southeast of Eureka. A 2.9-magnitude quake was also recorded on Sunday, April 12, 2:28 p.m., 39-miles southwest of Eureka, CA.
