Twenty-five year old Joshua Roberts, Eureka, CA, has not yet been arrested on the crimes stemming from a home invasion in Winchester Bay, Friday, March 16, where a 62-year old male was attacked in his home. Roberts has been arrested on a warrant out of California and is currently in custody. Our press release on 03/19/2018 incorrectly stated Roberts had been arrested for new crimes. At this time, he has only been arrested on the warrant; however, the charges are imminent. “We are working with the District Attorney’s Office on procedural matters related to the incident”, said Lt. Chris Merrifield of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
