ODOT release: SW Oregon, Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, 6:24 a.m.: Winter driving conditions are being reported throughout southwest Oregon, especially when driving out of the western valleys. Consider delaying travel until conditions improve. Chains are currently required over most of the mountain passes, including the I-5 corridor. This includes the passes north of Grants Pass to Canyon Mountain – and over Rice Hill north of Sutherlin due to disabled trucks. Expect delays, drive to the conditions and budget extra time.
