A 57-year old Roseburg woman was rescued after spending a day-and-a-half in the outdoors after wrecking her vehicle in rural Curry Co.  The family of Elizabeth Welter notified the Sheriff’s Office in Gold Beach that she had been missing.  They found her pickup truck over an embankment off a road south of Humbug Mtn.  Lt. John Ward was one of the searchers.  He found Welter over a mile from the accident scene in heavy brush and in a creek bed.  She was reported cold and hypothermic.  She was transported to Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach.
