Female veterans from every branch of military service, era and background are invited to attend the free semi-annual Oregon Women’s Veterans Conference in Eugene, March 28-29, at the Eugene Hilton and Conference Center, located at 66 E. 66th Ave. Co-sponsored by the Oregon Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz, and the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA), the conference serves as both an educational tool, and as a celebration of the service and sacrifices of women veterans throughout history. A variety of workshops addressing veterans’ benefits, women’s wellness, employment and small business tips will be offered. Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD Form 214 or other proof of military service with them to the conference.
