Women’s Safety & Resource Ctr. Receives Grant, Dec. 29

The Women’s Safety & Resource Center would like to announce that we are the appreciative recipient of an Oregon Community Foundation Grant of $17,530. This funding will be used for physical upgrades to our shelter, including bunk beds, furniture and paint. Abuse can have harmful effects on survivors’ ability to work and care for themselves and their children. Therefore improving her quality of life while they empower themselves and grow, directly improves community well-being. We extend our warmest thanks to the Bill and Ann Lansing Fund who donated a large majority of the funding supporting this awarded amount. Because of the support of all the funders through the Oregon Community Foundation, we can offer a safe and empowering living environment for women and their children of Coos County who are escaping Domestic and Sexual Violence.
