This five – session short course is ideal for anyone starting out taking care of a woodland property. Topics range from assessing the property, understanding tree biology and forest ecology, tree planting, weed control, safety, timber sale logistics and a field trip to see real examples. Cost for the series is $50 per person or $60 per family sharing materials. The series will be held in Myrtle Point at the Coos County Extension Office Wednesdays, September 6 – 27th from 5:30 – 8:00 pm with Field Day Saturday, September 30th from 9 am – 3 pm or in Gold Beach at the Curry County Extension Office on Tuesdays, September 12th – October 3rd with Field Day Friday, October 6th from 2 – 6 pm.
