North Bend High School assistant principal Bill Yester has been appointed as the interim superintendent of School District No. 13. Yester, who previously worked in the Myrtle Point School District, will have his appointment officially confirmed by the school board during a meeting Monday night, 7 p.m., North Bend City Council Chambers. He fills the void created by the sudden retirement of BJ Hollensteiner. Her retirement takes effect Dec. 31.
