On Saturday, March 8th, the Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area sponsored a brunch to recognize Outstanding Women of Service in our community. Women were selected from service organizations throughout the Bay Area. The morning’s celebration included a musical rendition of “Not Just a Pretty Face” sung by Lydia Shaffer-Casas and an inspirational keynote address from former State Senator Joanne Verger speaking on the importance of volunteerism in our community.
