Domestic Assault
Possession Firearm, CCSO release.  In the early morning hours of February 28, 2018 the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the North Bend Police Department responded to the 69000 block of McFarland Road in the Hauser area for a domestic dispute. At about 1:21 am the deputies arrived at the residence where a woman had called saying she and her boyfriend had been arguing. During the investigation, deputies learned the crux of the dispute was over relationship issues but that the pinnacle of the evening had been their six year old daughter’s tablet turning up missing. The two domestic partners had begun swearing at each other over these issues which evolved into a physical fight. The victim said Justin Ambrose physical shoved her, punched her in the arm a few times and then in the abdomen four or five times. In the midst of this dispute, two handguns and a civilian version of the Taser were reported to be missing. The weapons belonged to the victim and were not able to be located by her. In the investigation it was learned Justin Ambrose had taken the two handguns and the Taser and hid them in the brush outside the home. Mr. Ambrose did not have the authority to take the firearms, nor was he allowed to have firearms due to a previous felony conviction. Justin Ambrose was taken into custody on the above charges and transported to the Coos County Jail. Bail was set at $125,000.
