News release CCSO. On September 16, 2017, at about 0048 hours, deputies arrived at 110 S 5th St in Lakeside for a reported fight. The fight was between Rick Miller and his son, Richard Miller. Richard claimed his father punched him in the face 4-5 times during an argument. Richard had redness and swelling on his face around his eyes. Rick claimed Richard pushed him first out of his chair and that was why he fought back and punched Richard. Another witness on scene stated Richard did not fight at all and never touched or hit Rick. Deputies arrested Rick Miller, 53 years old of Prospect, Oregon, for Harassment and transported him to the Coos County Jail. Rick was booked and lodged on $10,000.00 bail. Deputies were assisted on scene by Oregon State Police.
