Assault on a Juvenile
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On February 10, 2015 at 3:38 PM, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 105 N. 5th St. Lakeside, OR for a report of a dispute. While investigating the dispute, Deputies learned a minor child in the residence was assaulted previously. Deputies arrested Jerry Vandehey, 50 years old of Lakeside, for the above listed crimes and transported him to the Coos County Jail.

DUII Accident
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On February 10, 2015, at about 2040 hours, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy learned of a crash which had occurred in the area of Milepost 4 on Libby Lane, between Coos Bay and Charleston. When the Deputy arrived, he located a single vehicle, a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup that had been in an accident. The Deputy contacted Cristino Jimenez-Perez near the crashed pickup. Mr. Jimenez-Perez exhibited signs of impairment and admitted to having consumed alcoholic beverages. The Deputy initiated an investigation for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Mr. Jimenez-Perez was ultimately arrested for the crime. Jimenez-Perez provided a breath sample which showed him to have a BAC of .10%. Jimenez-Perez was cited for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Driving without a License, Fail to Drive in Lane and Expired Registration. The vehicle was removed by Mast Bothers Towing. Mr. Jimenez-Perez was not injured in the accident.
