ATV Accident
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On the above date and time, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Hauser Fire Department and Bay Cities Ambulance responded to a rollover injury ATV accident at the west end of Spinreel Dune in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area (ODNRA), near Lakeside, Oregon. The accident occurred when the 14 year old female operator from West Vancouver British Columbia attempted to travel side hill on a steep face of a sand dune. She lost control the rental ATV and rolled the Yamaha Wolverine quad down the dune, sustaining injuries to her left wrist. Hauser Fire Department and Bay Cities Ambulance responded to the scene and transported her to Bay Area Hospital.
