Oregon’s broad-based success on the field of competition is well known, with a top-10 finish in the Directors’ Cup highlighting an incredible year for the Ducks. However, Oregon’s recent success in the classroom also has the University ranked among the top institutions in the nation, and second only to Stanford in the Pac-12. This decade (2010-16), Oregon has produced 32 academic all-Americans. That total is second in the Pac-12 behind Stanford (63). On a national level, the Ducks’ total since 2010 is tied with Georgia for the seventh-best among NCAA Division I public institutions, and tied for 10th overall among all Division I universities. Further illustrating the recent success in the classroom, the 32 academic all-Americans in the last seven years represent nearly a third of Oregon’s overall tally of 101 academic all-Americans since that program started more than 50 years ago.
