OSU’s Seumalo named to Polynesian POY Watch List
Oregon State offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo was named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award as announced by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Tuesday. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding Polynesian college football player that epitomizes great ability and integrity. A redshirt junior, Seumalo, has started all 25 games in which he’s played in his career but most recently missed the entire 2014 season due to a foot injury. The Corvallis native earned Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team honors in 2013 and was honorable mention as a freshman. In addition, Seumalo was a Freshman All-American in 2012. The winner of the 2015 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award will be announced on December 8, 2015. Five finalists will be unveiled on November 19. The formal presentation will be held at the Celebration Dinner during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Weekend on January 29, 2016.
