Two major earthquakes were recorded within the Cascadia Subduction Zone off the South Oregon Coast Sunday and Monday.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.9-magnitude quake was recorded at 9:34 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, followed by a 4.8-magnitude quake at 4:07 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28.  Both quakes were located west of Bandon near the outside fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
