Update on our Trooper who was shot Tuesday, Sept. 12 in Lane County. Senior Trooper Gerald Ellis is a 8 year veteran and assigned to the Springfield Area Command – Patrol Division. We believe at this time his ballistic vest saved his life as he only received minor injuries. Following the incident, the 30 year old male suspect was located and arrested.
