The Curry County Major Crimes Team was summoned Friday to a reported officer involved shooting at the intersection of Hwy. 101 and Caughell St. in Gold Beach. According to reports, a GBPD officer stopped a motorist at the intersection about 5:30 p.m. During the stop, the officer reportedly discharged his weapon striking an individual at least once. The unidentified wounded person was transported to Curry General Hospital and later transferred to Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.
