Sheriff’s Medal Presented
CCSO release – Date / Time: January 12, 2024; Award Presentation; Deputies B. Vitek, & M. Graham are presented with the Sheriff’s Commendation Medal for saving an Adult In Custody’s life. On July 7th, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. Deputies B. Vitek, & M. Graham located an Adult in Custody who was not breathing. Deputies immediately began CPR and used an Automated External Defibrillator along with the use of Narcan to save the AIC’s life. Sheriff Fabrizio presented both men with the Sheriff’s Commendation Medal Friday.

DUII, West Beaverhill/Hwy. 101
CCSO release – Date / Time: January 10th 2024 10:39 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00000822; Classification: Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants; Location: West Beaver Hill / Hwy 101; Suspect(s): Dyrrel Mock (53); Deputy notices vehicle with front end damage while on patrol. A traffic stop of the vehicle results in the driver being arrested on the charge of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. On January 10th, 2024, at approximately 10:39 p.m., Deputy K. Mong was patrolling the area of West Beaver Hill near U.S. Highway 101 when he observed a vehicle that had damage on the front of the car and appeared to have been in an accident. Deputy Mong followed the vehicle and observed the car failing to drive within its lane of travel and almost crash. Deputy Mong conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on U.S. Highway 101 near Randolph Road, just North of Bandon. Upon contact with the driver, who was identified as Dyrrel Mock (53), Deputy Mong observed multiple signs of impairment. After an investigation, Dyrrel was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Dyrrel was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he performed additional testing in relation to the DUII charge. Dyrrel was issued several citations, including a citation in lieu of custody for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Dyrrel was ultimately released to the custody of a sober individual pending his court appearance.
