Attempted Burglary, Sept. 9

News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 09-08-14 at about 0045 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 630 N 8th Street in Lakeside, Oregon to a report of an assault, attempted burglary and UEMV (Unauthorized entry into a Motor Vehicle). The initial report from the reporting party was that a female wearing a dark hoodie and jeans was attempting to break into the residence on N. 8th Street pushing the resident, 37 year old Erica Tate down some stairs, pulling her hair and biting her. Ms. Tate reported that the suspect stated that she “was playing the Zombie Game”. The female then left the house and was reportedly sitting in Ms. Tate’s vehicle when she called 911. Upon arrival deputies located 27 year old Reedsport resident, Jessica Rocha. After an investigation Ms. Rocha was arrested for Attempted Burglary I, Assault IV, Harassment, UEMV and Criminal Mischief III. Jessica Rocha was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was booked and lodged on the above charges. Jessica Rocha is being held in lieu of $77,500.00 Bail.
