Oregon Coast Culinary Institute Student Chefs Compete and Bring Home the Gold!, May 29

Once again, students from Oregon Coast Culinary Institute’s (OCCI) Student Competition Team have demonstrated their skill and brought home the gold! On May 17, 2015 four OCCI students traveled to compete in the Washington State Chefs’ Association Culinary Competition held at Bellingham Technical College, in Bellingham Washington. Student Chefs Faith Amend, Austin Greenleaf, Jessica Lombardo and Courtney Wohlert competed with support provided by Maddie Bauer and Logan Oliva. Faith Amend and Jessica Lombardo won gold medals for their dishes. Courtney Wohlert won a silver medal and Austin Greenleaf won a bronze medal. All six students are currently busy training for upcoming competitions, in particular the 2015 American Culinary Classic being held at the Orlando World Center Marriot in Orlando Florida in early August.
