Sex Abuse Charges in Douglas Co., March 3

On March 01, 2016, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Division began a criminal investigation into a report that a child under the age of 12 was being sexually abused. The suspect in the case was identified as David Joseph Lamb, age 47, of Curtin, Oregon. Lamb is known to the victim. In the evening of March 01, 2016, members of the Sheriff’s Office Detectives Division and Patrol Division attempted to contact Lamb, who was traveling in his vehicle. Lamb refused to pull over for law enforcement and a short pursuit of Lamb occurred on Buck Creek Road, Curtin. After about 1 mile, Lamb pulled over and was arrested without further incident. Lamb has been charged with Attempt to Elude, as well as several charges related to the sexual abuse investigation including First Degree Rape and First Degree Sexual Abuse. He is currently lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
