And with football season around the corner, there’s a great opportunity for members of Beaver Nation to check out the 2017 Beavers. Fans are invited to watch the team on Friday Friday, Aug. 4 at Summit High School in Bend as the team wraps up its second trip to Central Oregon. The open scrimmage for fans begins at 4:30 p.m. and will end at approximately 6 p.m. Benny Beaver, OSU ticket and Our Beaver Nation personnel will be at the workout to interact and answer any questions you have about attending a game at Reser Stadium this season. Following the practice, a Fan Fest will be held, from 6-7:30 p.m., with inflatables, autographs and more. Family Fun Day returns to the preseason schedule Saturday, Aug. 12, beginning with a scrimmage starting at 12 p.m. at Reser Stadium. Family Fun Day will conclude after the scrimmage, at 1:30, and will continue until approximately 3 p.m. and includes inflatables, team autographs and more. After its conclusion, stick around at Reser Stadium for a movie on the videoboard (title TBD, make sure to check out @BeaverAthletics on Twitter for your chance to vote), sponsored by Paventy and Brown Orthodontics. Family Fun Day is free of charge. Due to NCAA rule changes and the team’s condensed practice slate that resulted from the Colorado State game schedule change, Oregon State was unable to logistically make a practice in Portland work. Portland remains a critical area of emphasis for Oregon State Athletics and we are committed to bring a future family friendly football event to the area during our spring season. Oregon State returns to the practice field later this month in preparation for the 2017 football season. Season tickets and mini-plans are available at BeaverTickets.com for the six-game home schedule that includes visits from Portland State, Minnesota, Washington, Colorado, Stanford, and Arizona State.
