On Sunday, August 4, 2019 at approximately 4:45 P.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a vehicle crash on Hwy 199 at mile post 15. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Subaru Impreza, operated by David Remsh (50) of Selma, was traveling southbound on Hwy 199 when for unknown reasons veered into the northbound lane striking a Mazda 3 operated by Guy Fetty (54) of Gold Hill. Remsh was flown by air ambulance to the hospital. Two passengers in the Subaru, Amber Gaylord (31) of Glendale and Kali Remsh (29) of Grants Pass, were transported to the hospital. Fetty sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. The passenger in the Mazda, Anna Fetty (43) of Gold Hill, was transported to the hospital and later flown to a Portland hospital. Hwy 199 was reduced to one lane of traffic for approximately three hours following the crash.
