Foot Pursuit on Central Coast, July 2

News release from the Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office.  On June 29th, 2014 at approximately 12:33am Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1900 of N Hwy 101 in Depoe Bay. Arriving deputies were advised by a witness that Kim Nye, age 46, of Depoe Bay, had been outside a neighbor’s house screaming and kicking the doors. As Deputies arrived Nye fled into a wooded area behind the house. Deputies searched the wooded area, spotted Nye and a foot pursuit ensued. Nye eventually ran out of the woods onto Hwy 101 where he was soon caught and subdued by a Deputy.  The investigation revealed that Nye was asked to leave the residence he was at, but returned a short time later and was denied access. Nye then walked around the house screaming and kicking the doors which caused alarm for the neighbor’s. Nye was arrested and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on one count of Disorderly Conduct II and one count of Interfering with a Police Officer. His bail was set at $25,000. At time of his arrest Nye was also found to be in possession of Marijuana for which he received a citation for; Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
