On 8/3/20 at 1:40 a.m., the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a shooting at a residence on the 72900 block of London Road south of Cottage Grove. The residence is in a remote part of Lane County near the Douglas County border. Lane County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded along with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and located three people who sustained gunshot wounds. One of the victims was transported to the hospital by helicopter and two victims were transported by ambulance. Deputies investigated and have arrested 44 year old Boudie Lancaster of Cottage Grove on two counts of Assault in the first degree, one count of Assault in the second degree, and one count of Felon in Possession of a Weapon in connection with the shooting. This investigation is ongoing, and there is no indication of a continued threat to the community in connection with this case.
