Marshfield’s boys took over sole possession of first place in District 4 soccer with a 1-0 win at Cottage Grove Tuesday. The Pirates boys (8-0-1, 8-3-1) have one final match on their regular season scheduled at home Wednesday to Marist Catholic. Marshfield’s girls also won at Cottage Grove, 2-1. The Lady Pirates (1-4-1, 1-8-1) have two final matches scheduled against Marist Catholic to end the regular season. Wednesday and Monday, Oct. 25.

North Bend’s soccer teams will host Willamette Tuesday at Vic Adams Field. Girls at 4 p.m. and boys at 6 pm.

North Bend will host Thurston in a 5A Midwestern League volleyball match Tuesday, 6:45 p.m. Marshfield’s volleyball teams travel to Elmira for a District 4 match west of Eugene. The varsity match will be broadcast live on FM 105.1 KMHS at about 6:45 p.m. and streamed at www.kmhsonline.com.
