Another quake within the Blanco Fracture Zone off the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 4.0-magnitude quake occurred at 6:25 a.m., Wednesday, and was located 291-miles west to northwest of Coos Bay in an area where eight quakes of similar size occurred on Monday of this week. There was also a smaller 2.9-magnitude quake early Thursday morning, June 4, 3:29 a.m., at Cape Mendocino in Northern California where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
