Armed & Dangerous Fugitive Captured in Oregon, March 13

On March 8, 2017, an armed and dangerous fugitive, Christopher DELEON, age 32, of Nyssa, was located and arrested at a residence in Vale following an investigation and service of a search warrant. A multi-agency effort comprised of the Oregon State Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Oregon State Police Ontario Office, Ontario Police Department, Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, and the US Marshals Service executed a search warrant at 3539 Stage Road, in Vale, as a result of an ongoing investigation into trying to locate and arrest DELEON. The warrant was executed and the fugitive, Christopher DELEON, age 32, of Nyssa, was located and taken into custody without incident. DELEON had an outstanding warrant for his arrest stemming from a prior domestic dispute. DELEON’s violent behavior, extensive threats toward law enforcement and others, in addition to knowledge of him being armed, prompted the use of OSP SWAT. During the execution of the warrant, the following individuals were arrested for Hindering Prosecution: Chauncey HASLER, age 36, of Vale; Larry RAGAN, age 65, of Vale; Clarissa MORENO, age 20, of Ontario; Christie VILLALPANDO, age 48, Payette, Idaho. All five subjects were transported and lodged in the Malheur County Jail. This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be forthcoming against DELEON.
