At about 2:09 PM on Monday November 27, 2017 a subject wearing full-head mask, armed with a handgun, approached the attendant at the Mobil gas station at the intersection of Ivy St. and 12th Ave. and demanded money. The subject then fled north-bound from that location. The subject left the handgun behind which was later determined to be a very real-looking toy gun that had been painted black. All of the subject’s clothes and some of the money were located in some nearby bushes. The suspect is described as a white male with a fair-colored complexion, approximately 5’11” to 6’2″, with a slender build weighing approximately 130-150 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black hooded nylon-type light-weight Columbia brand jacket with silver material on the sleeves and sides of the coat. The pants are also black nylon-type Nike brand with silver, possibly reflective, stripes down both legs. The suspect was wearing red & white-colored Nike tennis shoes with a white swoosh. The suspect also left behind a very small childs’ (pre-school — kindergarten) size Spiderman backpack. Anyone with information on this incident is requested to immediately contact the Junction City Police Department at 541-998-1245.
