California St., CCSO release – On December 3, 2018, at about 11:56 A.M., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to California Street in Coos Bay fopr a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was learned a dispute over property left at the residence by a former tenant had turned physical when the suspect, 22 year old Elizabeth Stewart allegedly grabbed her former roommate by the hair and began hitting her in the head. During this time, there was screaming and yelling which disturbed the peace of the neighborhood. As a result of the investigation, Stewart was arrested for Assault IV and Disorderly Conduct II. Stewart was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was booked and lodged. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Coos Bay Police Department.
