The execution of a search warrant at a suspected crime scene in North Bend Friday morning, July 21, led to the arrest of the suspect in the assault of a Millington male the afternoon before. According to Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, 27-year old Jacob Daniel Evans, who also goes by the name Davey Yocum, was found hiding in a shed on or near the property at 2451 Broadway Ave. The victim was found bloodied about 4 p.m., while walking on Broadway. Hendrix reportedly had a skull fracture, broken eye orbit and broken nose. He was life-flighted to a hospital in Portland where Frasier stated he was in “very critical” condition. The DA had already filed charges of Attempted Murder; Assault in the First Degree; Robbery in the First Degree; and, Robbery in the First Degree against Evans. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
