Two teenage girls from Coos Co. were injured in an ATV accident near Gold Beach Sunday evening, Oct. 4. The two, a 14-year old from Coos Bay, and the other, a 16-year old from Lakeside, were returning from swimming in the Lobster Creek area nine miles east of Gold Beach off Jerry’s Flat Road. Both were transported to Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach. The 14-year old was later flown to OSHU in Portland with severe major injuries. The 16-year old was treated and released.
