North Bend got a split in its 5A Midwestern League basketball opener at North Eugene Dec. 21. The Bulldog girls (1-0, 6-2) won 31-23, but the boys (0-1, 2-6) fell 63-29. North Bend is scheduled to play at Cottage Grove on January 4.
