Burglary, March 15

Cape Arago Hwy., CCSO release – The Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported attempted burglary to a residence at about 4:30 am, Wednesday, March 14, on Cape Arago Highway. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Coos Bay Police Department. The investigation revealed information from video surveillance. The video surveillance footage shows three persons entered onto the property and remained there for a couple of minutes and appeared to leave. About a minute after the three people left one of them returned and kicked the front door of the residence open. When the door was forced open the installed alarm immediately activated an audible sound waking the property owners and forcing the suspects to immediately flee. There was damage to the door which had been forced open causing criminal mischief. No theft was reported. Attached are some of the images captured by the camera system.
