A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California early Tuesday, Dec. 24. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 2:28 a.m., 39-miles west to southwest of Eureka, CA where two fault lines enter the Pacific Ocean and then turn north to run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
