The Coos Bay Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is pleased to announce their second annual Spring Into a Surfrider Summer! Gala fundraiser happening this Saturday, March 19th, 7pm at Black Market Gourmet. The event features 6 courses artfully created by Black Market Gourmet, paired with 4 beers from Southern Oregon Coast microbreweries, rum from Charleston’s Stillwagon Distillery, and coffee from Charleston’s Bayside Coffee Roasters, plus live entertainment, and a Wall of Beer. Funds from this event will support the Chapter’s Scholarship program ($4,000 annually to local youth), Surfrider Youth Leadership Club in Bandon, and the Blue Water Task Force water quality monitoring program. The chapter believes that the health of our community and environment depends on our youth and is focused on developing future coastal leaders! In addition to the fabulous beers from Arch Rock Brewing Company, Chetco Brewing Company, and Seven Devils Brewery, the evening will feature wine from Abbelone Vineyard, coffee from Bayside Coffee Roasters, and rum from Stillwagon Distillery. Our celebration will include a Wall of Beer, an auction, and music from The Clam Diggers. When: Saturday, March 19 2015, from 7 – 10 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
