News release CBPD. In June Coos Bay Police Officers arrested four impaired drivers on charges of DUII. In one case the driver was determined to be impaired by a controlled substance. Two arrest were made by officers working the DUII Grant. Funding to cover overtime expenses was provided by Oregon Impact, an organization committed to reducing the number of traffic fatalities on Oregon roads by funding saturation traffic enforcement operations and promoting driver education programs. The Coos Bay Police Department will continue with saturation traffic enforcement activities during the month of July.
