CCSO report, Feb. 27

Criminal Trespass
Cape Arago Hwy.  CCSO news release.  On February 23, 2018, 11:10 am, deputies were dispatched to a report of criminal trespass at 92797 Cape Arago HWY in Coos Bay. The property manager reported he showed up to check the property and found a male and female inside of an RV on the property. The property manager said the window on the RV was broken, most likely for the suspects to gain access. When deputies arrived, they were advised the male suspect had fled the area. Deputies found the female suspect, Crystal McNelly, still inside the RV. McNelly told deputies she broke into the trailer the night before to sleep, because it was cold outside. Deputies contacted the owner, who advised the damage to the RV would be several hundred dollars to fix. Deputies arrested McNelly, 36 years old of Coos Bay, for Criminal Trespass II and Criminal Mischief II and transported her to the Coos County Jail. McNelly was booked and released on citation to appear in court.

DUII
Tarheel Ln. CCSO news release.  On February 25, 2018 at approximately 12:38 am, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Oregon State Police, responded to 91000 block of Tarheel Lane for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, 28-year old Brittany Albrecht was located sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle near the residence. The responding Deputy contacted Brittany and several other parties at the residence. While the Deputy was speaking to the other parties, an Oregon State Trooper contacted Brittany and began a Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) investigation. There were witnesses at the scene who described a dispute between Brittany and her mother, 48-year old Terry Albrecht. Based on the witnesses statements made to the Deputy, Brittany was charged with one count of Harassment. Based on the Oregon State Police investigation, Brittany was also charged with DUII. Brittany was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was booked and released.

Sandbug Ln. CCSO news release.  On February 23, 2018 at approximately 2:03 am, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to 69196 Sandbug Lane for a report of a Restraining Order Violation. 32-year old Brittany McDaniel, North Bend, reported 33-year oold Justin Wills, North Bend, was at her home when she arrived home from work and refused to leave. The Deputy confirmed there was a valid restraining order, prohibiting Mr. Wills from contacting Ms. McDaniel or the residence. Upon the Deputy’s arrival, Wills had fled from the scene on foot. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate Wills. On February 23, 2018 at approximately 6:08 pm, a Deputy returned to the residence and located Wills inside with McDaniel and their child. Wills was arrested for the original Restraining Order Violation as well as a second violation for when he was located at the residence. Wills was transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked and lodged on two counts of Restraining Order Violation. Wills is currently held in lieu of $15,000 bail.
