Domestic Harassment
CCSO news release.  On December 31, 2017, at about 11:45 pm hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 1520 North Lake Road, Lakeside, Coos County, Oregon, in response to a report of a missing nine year old juvenile. Through the course of the investigation, it was learned the juvenile had fled following a domestic dispute between his mother and father, Sandro and Brandee Cardenas. At about midnight, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office activated its Search and Rescue K9’s to assist in the search. The child was found safe away from home earlier in the evening by his father, Sandro Cardenas, who took him home and put him to bed without telling anyone so County Search and Rescue and volunteers continued to search. While the child was later found safe at 1:55 am by the father, and the search effort called off it was learned 35-yea rold Sandro Cardenas had pulled Brandee Cardenas out of a vehicle by her hair. Sandro was subsequently arrested for Domestic Harassment and transported to the Coos County Jail. He was released on citation to appear in lieu of custody at the jail.

Domestic Harassment
CCSO news release.  On December 31, 2017 at approximately 1:42 pm, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to 98707 Coos River Highway for a report of a domestic dispute between 40-year old Amanda Matusz, Coos Bay, and her husband Christopher Matusz which had occurred the night prior on December 30, 2017. Video evidence was located on the phone of a family member documenting part of the incident. The evidence showed Amanda pushing and spitting on her husband. The argument reportedly began after Christopher told Amanda he was filing for divorce and had begun the paperwork. Based on video evidence and victim statements, Amanda Matusz was arrested and charged with two counts of Domestic Harassment and one count of Harassment. Matusz was transported to the Coos County jail where she was booked and lodged in lieu of $15,000 bail.
