News release from the Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office. “On December 30, 2013, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies received information from the Corvallis Police Department that 27 year old Adair Village resident Michael J. Burk, was in custody at the Benton County Jail and provided information to an officer regarding a burglary in Lincoln County. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office conducted further investigation and learned a residence in Otter Rock was unlawfully entered during late summer of 2013 and items were taken. The home owner was promptly contacted and a report taken. Burk was later transferred to the Lincoln County Jail and contacted by Deputy David Boys on January 8, 2014. Burk was subsequently charged with Burglary in the First Degree and Theft in the Second Degree and held at the Lincoln County Jail with a bail of $115,000.00.”
