Three men were arrested on burglary and other charges following an investigation by members of the Lincoln Interagency Narcotics Team (LINT) with Newport Police Department.  On November 11, 2013, LINT detectives became involved in the investigation with Newport police after a burglary was reported at a local pizza restaurant in Newport that same day. After obtaining video surveillance, two suspects were developed by LINT detectives.  On November 12, LINT detectives were contacted by a Toledo police officer who reported he had conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle containing the two suspects. Detectives responded to the location of the traffic stop and contacted the suspects, during which information was developed linking them to the pizza restaurant burglary and another burglary Monday evening at a Toledo-area railroad business office. A vehicle belonging to an employee of the business office was stolen and recovered abandoned in the Toledo area. Property and evidence related to the investigations were also recovered.  The following persons were arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail in Newport for the listed charges:  ROBERT LEE WILLIAMS, age 25, from Siletz, was arrested for 2 counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, Theft in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.  JOSHUA EUGENE BROWN, age 29, from Lincoln City, was arrested for 2 counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, Theft in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, and Probation Violation.  CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL WHITE, age 26 from Toledo, who was a passenger in the vehicle was arrested on outstanding warrants for Parole Violation and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.  LINT is comprised of members of the Lincoln City Police Department, Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Newport Police Department, and Oregon State Police.
