News release from the Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office. On June 27, 2014 at about 7:12 AM the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male exposing himself in public at Taylor’s Landing about 7 miles east of Waldport on Highway 34. Deputy Davey responded and conducted an investigation leading to probable cause to arrest Robert Bruce Stier, age 60 of Waldport for Public Indecency. When Deputy Davey attempted to arrest Stier, Stier produced a folding pocket knife and challenged Deputy Davey at knifepoint. After a brief standoff at gunpoint, Stier surrendered to Deputy Davey and was taken into custody. Stier was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged for Public Indecency, Menacing a Police Officer, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Resisting Arrest with a total bail of $95,000.
