On March 26, 2017, about 10:46 p.m., OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two-vehicle head-on crash, on Interstate 205 near milepost 13 (Clackamas County). Preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 Dodge Magnum, operated by Bryan Kevin SHERBAHN, age 49, of Clackamas, was northbound when, for unknown reasons, it crossed the median and struck a southbound 1997 Ford Ranger, operated by Thomas Charles DURHEIM, age 60, of Gresham, head-on. DURHEIM was pronounced deceased at the scene and SHERBAHN was transported to OHSU Hospital for treatment of his injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicles. OSP was assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon Department of Transportation, Happy Valley Police, Clackamas County Criminal Reconstruction and Forensics Team (CRAFT) and Clackamas County Fire Department. The Highway was closed for 6 hours for purposes of the investigation. Alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.
