Coos Bay Public Library, in partnership with Sylvia Miller of OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute, will co-host Clinical Trial Education on Tuesday, October 20 from 12:00pm-1:00pm via Zoom (virtual meeting software). Clinical trials help ensure that newly developed medicines and procedures are safe and effective. They bring about discoveries that improve public health and treatment in the future. The purpose of this educational opportunity is to provide clinical trial education to cancer patients, family members, and caregivers of cancer patients in order to understand what participating in a clinical trial means. Anyone 18+ is welcome to join. Participants will receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card provided by OHSU. This FREE virtual event is open to all.
